IRS Extends 2019 ACA 1095 Form Filing Deadline

The IRS has just announced the deadline for furnishing Employee Statements has been extended from January 31, 2020 to March 2, 2020.

IMPORTANT: This extension is for employers, insurers, and other providers of minimum essential coverage to furnish the 2019 forms 1095-B and 1095-C to INDIVIDUALS only.

The due date for filing the 1095 form with the IRS has not been extended.

The due dates for filing the 1095 from with the IRS will remain: February 28, 2020 if filing by paper or March 31, 2020 if filing electronically.

THE IRS will NOT be waiving penalties for 2019 reporting.
